Christmas Goes Hollywood

Are you a movie buff? A fanatical Christmas?

Who is not, is not it? Well, you're in the right place, because we are crazy about movies and Christmas, too. And, fortunately, there are some good movies on Christmas ... the kind that put you in the holiday spirit all year round, even during the hot summer days!

In fact, there are so many great films of Christmas, as many memorable characters and wonderful stories, that choosing a handful of flicks above the rest is difficult. But we are still in place for a good challenge, so why hesitate to one now? Hey, you do not agree with our picks, after all! Without further adieu, we present the five best Christmas movies of all time:

A Christmas Story - Any discussion about the best Christmas film can begin and end here. The classic tale of little Ralphie - who both wanted a Red Ryder BB gun, despite the reluctance of their parents and teachers (and even a department store fortune Santa Claus) - is the best Christmas movie ever made. There is a reason, it appears on television each year virtually non-stop for two consecutive days! "You learn from your eyes!" is one of the most memorable on the big screen - the theme of Christmas or otherwise - of all time.

Miracle on 34th Street - Santa Claus is real, and this movie proves it. You could argue this is the best Christmas movie ever made. We are not convinced it is better than A Christmas Story, but we are sure that you could make a good argument, however!

Babes in Toyland - Few films in 1934 (or before) always capture our hearts. But Babes in Toyland features Laurel & Hardy, and when the pair of actors beloved is at stake, you can say the project is a success. Babes in Toyland has been rebuilt several times over the years, but we still like the original better because of the duo.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - Chevy Chase is a strange type (at least he used to be!) And the Lampoon's Vacation series is composed of many instant hits. They are all funny and memorable in their own way, Christmas and holiday is no different. Wayward cats, senile aunt, a scrooge-like boss and a cousin who can not be described as "eccentric" combine to help make this film a little humor to the Yuletide season.

A Christmas Carol - Speaking of Scrooge, no Christmas movie marathon is complete without his appearance, with the ghosts that haunt him. Charles Dickens' novel is among the most beloved literary classics, so why should the film be less popular? A Christmas Carol has been filmed several times for both the big screen and television, and most of them are quite good. This story is too strong to spoil. So when you visit the store film, take your pick.

Well, OK. We know that we left your favorite, or perhaps we have added your choice, but left another success.

With so many choices, it was not an easy decision, but it gave us a shot.
