Lake Maggiore is relatively close to Lake Como and many people choose to take a day trip here. Taking the journey to Lake Maggoire is very pleasant. While you are there you can visit the lakeside resort of Stresa and the regal Borromean Islands, all of which will just highlight the many jewels of Italy and the Como region. If you don�t want to miss out on the jewels of the lake but don�t fancy a day trip on a coach, you can also take a lake cruise.

Lake como is a lake of glacial form situated in Lombardy, in beautiful Italy. It is the third largest lake in Italy, coming after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore. It is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and it is over 400 meters deep and at the bottom around 200 meters below sea level with it being fed by the Adda River.
The town of Como itself is surrounded by high walls that once protected this place, once inside you will find a haven of shops that would be perfect for any tourist or local alive.
